The final race is right around the corner

The season draws to a close with the race in Portimao - Tom Lüthi starts in 24th place.

Tom Lüthi faces the big challenge tomorrow, Sunday, of making up as much ground as possible from row eight. Although he also started his final lap-attacks with several personal best time sectors, he then repeatedly lost time in the last section of the track. Therefore, the Swiss will once again have a very difficult starting position for his last race for the LIQUI MOLY Intact GP team, having to line up in 24th in row eight when the 23-lap battle in Portimao rings in the grand final of the 2020 season.

It is of course a disaster to be so far behind again, but I had no chance. I tried to implement certain things and improve further, but it just didn't work. The position we are in is not acceptable. I actually lost most of the time in the fourth sector. Marcel always had better timing there, so I wanted to hang on to him, but then he shut the gas. But even if that had worked out, it wouldn't have gotten much better. We are way too far away and we don't seem to be able to solve our problems. The race is tomorrow, but the starting position is very difficult.
