Row 18 on the grid for Tom Lüthi in mad weather conditions

In uncertain weather conditions Tom Lüthi did not make the step into Q2 today - he starts tomorrow Sunday from 22nd place.

True to the weather in Le Mans, sun and rain alternated today. Because of the wind, the track dried quickly after each downpour, so that despite the precipitation at noon, the Moto2 qualifying could take place in mostly dry conditions. Tom Lüthi and his crew have worked a lot since yesterday's first day of the French GP, but still the speed today was not enough to fight for the front rows of the grid in Q2. Tom Lüthi will start tomorrow's Le Mans race from 22nd place on the grid (row 18) (start: 12.20 p.m., Swiss time).

I was impressed how quickly the conditions changed between completely wet and practically dry today. It's not easy to concentrate on your own riding style, to understand the signs of the bike in order to be able to give clear feedback and to improve on certain points, because you have to constantly adapt to new conditions. That was one of the reasons why we didn't finally manage to set up the bike perfectly today. We still have a lot of work to do before the race and I hope that I can also improve again riding-wise tomorrow - especially in braking before the corner. So the warm-up will be important tomorrow. Even if we're not happy with our grid position, we're looking forward to the race. We're in Moto2 - here, as always, anything is possible.
