StyrianGP: strong first day for Tom Lüthi

After several weeks of summer break, the MotoGP is finally back on the racetrack. Tom Lüthi starts the second half of the season with a strong performance and finishes the first day at the Red Bull Ring in sixth place overall.

For five weeks it was quiet around the motorcycle world championship. Tom Lüthi made use of the time for technical and fitness training, but also for a few days' vacation to recharge his batteries for the second half of the season. Training and recovery are now paying off: on the first day of the Styrian Grand Prix Tom Lüthi immediately feels comfortable on the bike and already shows a good rhythm in the first laps - he ends the first day in a good sixth place overall.
In changing weather conditions Tom Lüthi and his team used the first two free practices for initial optimizations on the bike to start tomorrow Saturday well prepared for the third practice and qualifying.

Tom Lüthi (P3 | 1’29.374 | +0.130):

«I'm happy to finally be back on the bike after the summer break. We've already done a good job today - I had a good feeling for the bike from the first moment and was able to improve lap by lap. In the afternoon, the weather conditions changed a bit, but we were still able to make further progress. Special thanks to the team, who gave me a bike that worked great from the first lap on, despite the changing conditions, and allowed me to maintain and improve my rhythm. I'm looking forward to tomorrow!»
