MalaysianGP: Good work on day one

Tom Lüthi started the weekend of the Malaysian Grand Prix with a good feeling and the sixth position.

The first free practices have been concluded on the Sepang International Circuit and both Dynavolt Intact GP riders were able to build up on a promising rhythm on the 5.5 km long Malaysian track.
The tarmac was still a bit damp after the night-rain on the Friday morning, but Tom Lüthi had a good run in fourth position. The Swiss improved his lap time in the afternoon with better track conditions by more than three tenths of a second and finished the day in sixth. But the championship-second is not satisfied with the half a second gap to the top and together with his crew keeps on working hard with focusing the qualifying tomorrow.

«'m happy with today, but we're not where we want to be yet. It was certainly not a bad start, but we still have work to do. I couldn't improve with the new tyres this afternoon. There is a lack of consistency and we miss rear grip. But everyone has to struggle with that. This morning the track was still wet and we couldn't really put rubber on the track and improve the grip. The track conditions were definitely better in the afternoon, but we're still missing too much to go all the way to the front. I have to take a lot of risks at the moment. That's very exhausting and energy-consuming. We have to see that we can set up a bike, which is easier to ride and then I'm convinced that I'm faster again. I'm not miles away, but we want more.»
