Second Test day at Jerez under difficult conditions

The works done on the second day of the first official test of the season were affected by strong wind. But nevertheless Marcel Schrötter and Tom Lüthi were able to gain some more important information.

Especially during the second Moto2 session of the day it got quite windy on the Circuito de Jerez today. Later on, it slightly flattened only by a little, but the Dynavolt Intact GP crew was able to use the last hours of the test.

Tom Lüthi stayed calm at the end of the day. The Swiss had worked with his crew on some bigger settings and thanks to the knowledge he gained today they know that they are working into the right direction. Also he achieved his best lap time during the first session, before it started to get more and more gusty. With 1:41.892 he set the 14th fastest time of the day.

Tom Lüthi Test day 2: 1:41.892 (+0.684) - 59 laps - P14

"The wind was really bad today. There was a gap in the morning that was really good, but I missed out on that as we were still trying some things. We had a lot of work today, that wasn’t easy. We had to change a few big settings and find a way, but that’s what a test is for. We found some solutions and therefore I am quite relaxed and calm now, as we are working into the right direction. While testing I don’t give it too much importance if I am the fastest, times aren’t that important then. Crucial is to find the right feeling, consistency and control with the bike and we work on that. It is not perfect yet, we still have a lot to do. We were able to take some good steps today and I believe that the direction is good."
